Architecture and Environment
The module offers a foundation to the diverse aspects associated with environmental conditions and problems. It puts emphasis on how human activity affects the environment, both favourably and unfavourably, as well as how architecture interact with the living ecosystem. Through lectures and discussions, the basics of environment protection will be imparted to the pupils. In order to help students establish acceptable, commodious, and environmentally responsible buildings, the module also teaches the students to the essential features of climate and their influences on architecture. This module will include coursework, tests, and case analysis alongside formative and summative evaluations.
Conclusion
In this module, I have learnt a lot interesting knowledge on many different topics such as Lighting, Sound, Climate and Climatic Design, Solar & Shading and so on. All these knowledge is very important in my future as it can be useful for me to use what IÂ have learnt and include them into my building design. I am very grateful to be able to take this module. In this module, we worked in groups and my group have 7 members which includes a mixture or semester 1.5 and 2.5 students. This allows me to be able to strengthen my communication skills even more as I had to communicate with students from different semesters to keep track on what should be done.
